Little Tunny(Euthynnus alletteratus)
Family Scombridae
Description: steelblue above with silver belly. Several oblique, wavy lines above the lateral line; black irregular blotches below the pectoral fin. Similar fish: bonita, false albacore, skipjack tuna. Where found: range from New England to Brazil, but most often sought in Florida waters in summer and fall when schools of them appear close to shore. Size: average around 6 to 10 pounds, but some 30-pounders are brought in. Remarks: good gamefish; hard fighter, but gets low marks in the food-value department. Uncle Dave wouldn't eat one on a bet.
